Here's a 1922 Type D-4 "Radiophone" 1-tube battery set.  The radio was sold by DeForest and was the basis of an injunction filed against the company for patent infringement. DeForest did not possess an Armstrong license but believed that it had the right to legally manufacture and sell regenerative radios such as the D-4 by virtue of its acquisition earlier in the year of Brooklyn's RadioCraft Company. Several of the radio's parts, as well as its brand name, were leftovers from that purchase, but the Armstrong license was explicitly non-transferable, and DeForest was successfully sued for using the circuit in the D-4 and the company's RadioCraft-branded Interpanel set.
Condition of this D-4 is excellent, and the radio still works.  The panel is clean, with no scratches, no chips, no extra holes, no damage.  Nickel-plated parts are likewise clean, with some tarnish and light oxidation, but nothing significant or distracting. Chassis is clean and complete, wiring is straight, soldered connections are secure, and the components are all original, including the RadioCraft variometer, which -- because it allowed the radio signal to regenerate -- lay at the heart of the lawsuit and injunction.
The lid sheet is original, and it's in excellent condition, but no acidification and no damage.  All of the small hardware is original to the radio, and no hardware is missing. The radio retains both of its original metal tags, as well as its original paper patent sheet (affixed to the interior side of the cabinet).
The Baldwin headphones are in good condition, with good drivers. The metal tips have been reinforced with cloth tape, but the cord is still electrically viable, and the headphones are still sensitive and working well.
The radio comes with a Deforest DV-3 Audion tube, possibly the one with which it was originally sold. The Audion is a 3 volt dry-cell tube, it has good emissions, and it's been tested in the radio.
If you'd like to use the radio (or try to -- it takes a bit of practice), you'll need a good regulated power supply (I'd recommend an ARBEIII), a longwire outdoor antenna (at least 100 feet in length and 15 feet off the ground), and a good indoor ground connection (hard ground, not a connection to household wiring).
That's about it.  I will pack it carefully and properly.  I've been shipping antique phonographs and wireless sets for years, and I know how to get fragile antiques to you safely. Auction participants with no prior feedback history should also contact me before placing a bid.  Buyer prepays and includes shipping.
