Matched Pair of Grommes Little Jewel (LJ6) Amplifiers tested working for stereo

Description

This is a classic pair of 6V6 push pull output mono block tube amplifiers. These are the same model and cosmetically almost the same. These were popular in the late 1950s by a Franklin Park based company that is still in business today. I've been through both units to ensure they are fully functional. The power supplies are solid and functioning and there is no hum on either. Coupling caps have been checked and no issues found. Tubes have been tested and I've a matched set across both amps - RCA 6V6 reading on my tester in the 89% +/- 2% when new is in the low 90s. I use these RCA tubes because they have a nice heater glow from them unlike many that are coated inside or out blocking that visible glow. These are perfect to have out on a table showing the glowing tube set while being played. The rectifier tubes are both RCA and test green. The preamp and phono preamp tubes are a matched set of RCA. I scoped out the power and audio transformers for temperature after many hours of operation to ensure they are running within normal limits for sustainable long term operation - they are good!  I have worked on several pairs of these over the years.
Plenty of power for normal listening levels and the great thing about tubes is they don't clip at high listening levels because tubes have a distortion that is pleasing to the ear - that is why they are still being used on guitar amps today. This pair should last another 50 years with minimal care.
