Pilot 245-A stereo tube integrated amplifier EL84 -- Gorgeous !

I try to take good pictures of the items I am selling; the photos are part of the description.  Look carefully at the faceplate -- it's highly reflective and difficult to photograph, so I've included several close-ups. DESCRIPTION
Here's a very nice example of the classic
Pilot 245-A integrated tube amplifier
.  This model is highly sought after by vintage enthusiasts because it is essentially Pilot's integrated version of the coveted Pilot SP-210 preamplifier and Pilot SA-232 tube amplifier.  These are very desirable models -- among the best sounding EL84 integrated.
I bought this on eBay two months ago who removed this unit from a Pilot console over ten years ago, and had it
carefully serviced
by a qualified tube tech (he was formerly an Air Force electronics technician).  He disconnected all the aged electrolytic can capacitors and replaced them with Sprague Atoms underneath, and the old coupling caps were replaced with 716P Orange Drops.  He also replaced some resistors that were out of spec and made several other updates to ensure long-term reliability.

I am now moving unexpectedly -- and am selling this to reduce the amount of stuff I put in storage.  I used this for five hours or so--- it sounds wonderful.
I am selling at a loss at a "buy it now" price ---- if it doesn't sell by the late evening Saturday July 30 then it's going into my storage pod on Sunday !   (I looked for one of these for years.....  )
CONDITION
This amp is USED and OLD and best appreciated by a vintage tube enthusiast or collector.  It is functional but quirky.  Old tech...  NOT plug-and-play.
I had not used this amp in quite a while, but recently I put it in the system with a CD source through the Tape Head (line level) input.  I re-seated a couple of tubes (for contact integrity) and it settled in to make beautiful music for hours.  This amp is almost 70 years old with most of its original parts; you should expect a bit of fiddling now and then.  The switches and knobs might be touchy, and the tube sockets might need a cleaning but the transformers and power supply are in good health.  Because it was in a console the face plate is not attached to the amplifier -- the knobs hold it on but loosely -- it would be easy for you to fashion a way to make it more secure.
The
tubes
included are a mix of Russian and Chinese modern production, and some vintage tubes in the preamp section.  They currently work but I cannot guarantee them because they have not been tested recently.  Think of them as "free with purchase".
