    Description

    Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for a Sansui RA-500.  This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui RA-500.  You will receive replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in it, as well as replacements for the six 2SC871 transistors that go bad.
    This kit includes 17 capacitors and 6 transistors.  The capacitors are 105° Nichicon PW and Panasonic FC at the correct uf and the same or improved voltage ratings, and the transistors are

    r the originals.  These are are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Sansui gear.
    I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but this is at least mildly complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with a 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.  This kit should fix most issues with the RA-500, but I would strongly recommend cleaning the controls with Deoxit D5 or a similar contact cleaner.  The display lamps in the RA-500 are 6v 250ma fuse lamps, which I have listed on eBay, and you can replace them with new incandescents or LED fuse lamps, which I also have listed.  Please see my pictures for details.
