Greetings from the Inspire "toy-factory" in Cary, North Carolina ... USA!!!
A few months ago I took in trade an Inspire KT-88 SE Fire-Bottle amplifier I had built almost three years ago.  I fired up this elder KT-88 Inspire in my home listening room. "Holy Crap" I forgot just how great this music maker is.  I decided to start building the Inspire KT-88SE Fire-Bottles once again.  I gave  this new rendition a complete update .... well .... I gotta tell ya...  I can't stop listening.  I have tube rolled every thing from the 6F6's to the KT-170's.  Depending on your listening preference and loudspeaker in your system this guy is the absolute in tube rolling. Just plug and play, all auto biasing.

Additional thoughts on Home Audio Listening
I would like share a few of my thoughts about the ritual of home audio Hi Fi.  Thoughts and the emotional impact of music in the home … If one were to visit the North Carolina mountains and take some photographs of the breathtaking views of the mountains or another example, visit Niagara Falls and photograph the natural wonder and astounding power of the falls …. then have these photos blown up and framed above your fireplace in the home. …… The emotional impact will be there to be viewed over and over again ….
BUT
…. you will never recreate the original scene (score) in your home.  I like to equate this scenario to Hi Fi audio in your home … no matter how much power you slam and jam to a pair of speakers in your listening room you will never recreate the original score!!!!!  Given this truism ….. my opinion of home audio is to recreate the emotional impact of the original performance.  Not some ear bleeding, window rattling, impress your neighbors music system.  A system that folks will tire of in a mater of weeks.   This is true … if you are in to hi fi to impress how loud you can play … just give it a few weeks and you will lose interest in the slap and smack the ear system.
In over 63 years of building and experimenting with hundreds (maybe thousands) of various audio amplifiers and speakers … I find the absolute best conveyer of the musical, emotional impact is through low powered, elegant single-ended vacuum tube class A amplification.  Revel in the profound intense emotional response to music played at a level that allows the listener to concentrate on the performers and score rather than think about how loud one can turn it up!!!!!  Did I just hear the amp clip on the kettle drum!!!! …. listen to the music not the amp and speakers.  Keep in mind … if one were to take out a fresh new 20 dollar bill in the audience of a live symphonic performance and start to crinkle the bill people state nearby would be disturbed.
Anyway …. low powered single-ended class A vacuum tube amplifier along with low distortion loudspeakers is the key. Forget the SPL and revel in the musical spell!!!!!!  It's the raised hair, the tear in the eye and the smile and that wonderful walk along memory lane of music in the home …. that’s why I am still listening after all these years.
