Vintage Stromberg Carlson Model ASR-880G Stereo Integrated Tube Amplifier

Description

This is a Stromberg Carlson model ASR-880G tube stereo integrated amplifier from 1962. It is a 32 watt per channel amp driven by (4) 7355 output tubes. It also has (2) 7199 and (4) 12AX7 tubes. It is actually a separate stereo preamplifier-amplifier sharing the power supply. It has separate volume, bass, and treble controls, while having a Master gain control. It has had service with numerous capacitors replaced. The Auxiliary section has been tested with a CD player and the Phono stage has been tested with a magnetic turntable. Playing the CD, sound is good and quiet out of both channels. When Phono is selected, both channels play with good volume, but Channel B has hum, while Channel A is quiet. No other functions tested. Includes copies of the schematic and owners manual. Because it is 60 years old and needing further troubleshooting and service, it is sold As-Is but working.
